The Climate Transformation Fund (CTF) is designed by experts to champion solutions needed to fix the climate crisis—not to make claims of neutrality. With this fund, we aim to accelerate the deployment of permanent carbon removals, emission reductions, as well as nature restoration- and protection initiatives.

Global movement
To date, 17 initiatives represented on five continents have been supported through the Climate Transformation Fund.
CO₂ removed
As of 2022, 14 387 tonnes of CO₂ is estimated to be durably removed via the organizations in the fund (the full removal happens in the coming 1-4 years).
Forests 4-ever
The support from the CTF has enabled the non-profit Warsi to protect forests in Indonesia, estimated to store 1 million tons of CO₂.
Restoring balance to our atmosphere
Removing CO₂ from the atmosphere is not cheap, but we must start accelerating commercial demand and help bring down the cost of new solutions that are vital for the planet's future to reach the 1.5°C targets. Heirloom is a new company that has received funding from the CTF. They have developed a new Direct Air Capture solution to extract CO₂ directly from the air using common minerals.

Advocating for change
Pressuring decision-makers and mobilizing public support to accelerate the transition from coal is difficult. But the job needs to be done. The CTF supports brave non-profit organizations that fight for policy changes that reduce emissions. One example is Human Rights Watch's work to stop coal power by addressing the health damage that coal power plants have on local populations.

Cool solutions for a warm planet
Nature restoration and action against deforestation are crucial to stop climate change. Justdiggit in Tanzania has received support from the CTF to help farmers use natural methods to grow their tree stumps into mature trees.
